Eugene's Bio
Mover actor puppeteer clown
Eugene enjoys the time between seasons, listening to how the transitions light up his body. Eugene is a mover, actor, puppeteer, clown. He finds pleasure in movement, in observing it, in playing with it. He first ventured into the world of movement in Argentine Tango and has since continued into puppetry, acting, clowning, encouraged by the Theater of Jacques Lecoq in Paris. ‘Everything moves.’ Except when they are still. That too, enhances any movement. His art began at Arthaus in Berlin when he was introduced to the concept of embodiment of the Hero’s Journey as written by Carl Jung. There, he began to dive deeper into the psyche, embodying, moving the conscious and the subconscious, listening to that of the Self and the collective, of his unique position between the East and the West. His work often leads him to the shadows, where he believes is where the big Unknown lies - beyond ourselves yet within ourselves.
